The most tell-tale sign of aging are the wrinkles and crevices that appear as our skin loses elasticity and our faces lose volume. Fillers can be used on different parts of the face including the eyes and eyebrows, mouth and lips, cheeks, chin and jaw line, wrinkles, fine lines and some scars.
Types of Fillers:
1. Hyaluronic Acid (Belotero, Restylane, Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft, Juvederm Voluma, and Juvederm Ultra Plus XC)
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in skin that helps to maintain volume and hydration. Synthetically produced hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are almost identical to those naturally produced and can restore lost volume, smooth out wrinkles and stimulate natural collagen.
2. Collagen Simulator (Radiesse)
Radiesse contains Calcium Hydroxylapatite which is transported via gel carriers. Once the Radiesse is injected it delivers instant volume but also continues to work after the injection by stimulating the body’s natural collagen production. The gel carriers are eventually absorbed by the body, leaving your own natural collagen.
How long will it last?
With minimal downtime, results can be seen immediately after treatment and may last up to six months or longer (results depend on the type of filler and the injection area). The treatment may take between 15-20 minutes depending upon the area that is being treated. After treatment there is virtually no down time and normal activities may be resumed on the same day.
Benefits of Fillers:
- Restores volume loss which occurs with aging
- Reduces wrinkles and fine lines
- Creates fuller and more youthful looking facial contours
- Stimulates collagen
