Restylane, Restylane Silk and Restylane Lyft all contain hyaluronic acid. They are very similar in most of their qualities but are injected into different areas where they settle more easily into the skin.
Restylane is most commonly injected into smile lines to give a more plump appearance and to restore the upturn that is lost with age. Restylane also works well in the lower eyelid area, or tear troughs, to help restore volume and minimize the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.
Restylane Silk is the first FDA-approved filler for lip augmentation. It helps to re-shape the lips, decrease appearance of vertical lines above the lip, and restore volume.
Restylane Lyft has larger gel particles which makes it a better choice for deeper wrinkles or creases in the skin. It is most commonly injected into the cheeks and nasolabial folds (“parentheses” lines around the mouth).
