Dysport
Dysport is made from Botulinum Toxin A, which is the same derivative as Botox. It is a great non-surgical option to treat facial wrinkles. Dysport is used to treat adults of any age or gender. The treatment has been widely used and is considered a safe, effective way to eliminate or reduce worry and frown lines, “crow’s feet”, laugh lines and other dynamic wrinkles. It can also be used to reshape and lift your eyebrows! Careful placement results in a more relaxed, yet still animated, appearance. Treatments are quick and have little to no downtime. You will see results appear in five to seven days and results generally last up to three to four months.
Xeomin
Similar to both Dysport and Botox, Xeomin is the newest addition to the Botulinum Toxin Type A family. Pronounced as “zee-oh-min”, the product is injected to reduce or prevent wrinkles between the eyes or on the forehead.
How is Xeomin versus Botox or Dysport?
- Xeomin lacks additives found in other products
- Results are seen within the same time frame (usually within one week of treatment)
- Similar lasting effect (typically three months)
Botox
Botox is made from Botulinum Toxin A. It helps to temporarily improve the appearance of frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet. Once the muscle is injected, the muscle activity will be reduced. This helps to smooth the crow’s feet lines and frown lines. Generally, results are seen within five to seven days after the treatment and are recommended to be repeated every three to four months.
